Mission
ARPS' objective is to perform high quality research with national and international relevance in the area of the public and non-profit-sectors. Distinctive for ARPS' scholarly activity is the pursuit of a synthesis between fundamental and empirical research on the one hand, and policy-oriented and practice-based research on the other hand. The publication of this scientific research in international publications and more popular works is also fundamental to ARPS' objectives. Finally, the research centre organises congresses, colloquia and workshops at its own initiative or in collaboration with other institutions.
ARPS as research centre fits extremely well within the Accountancy and Corporate Finance Department. Ernst & Young for its part would like to emphasise that it is not only looking to obtain practical competence, but that is also investing in scientific research in these quickly evolving sectors.
The research activities are provided by a coherent group of passionate scholars, augmented where necessary with the contribution of experts from outside the research group. An ad hoc multidisciplinary team is assembled to provide guidance and feedback for almost every scientific research project.
